Our Story
Bistro Avera was born from a blend of family heritage and culinary finesse. After the closure of Rue Franklin, where Stephen Pusateri honed his skills as a sous chef, he and his wife Janelle dreamed of opening a place of their own. Their vision was clear: a welcoming dining spot that reflected the quality and precision they admired, set in the heart of their hometown, Lewiston. In July, they opened the doors to Bistro Avera, named affectionately after their first two daughters, Vera and Ariane, with their third daughter Stevie arriving just a month later.
